I am David Smith also known ChicGoGetter .I started rapping at the age of thirteen on the East side of Chicago... I spent a short time at Jackson State University. Mass Communication was my major of all studies. During my stay in Mississippi I was hired by Cash Money’s Merchandising’s company F.A.M.E and was on the tour from state to state for the two years on and off, with different major recording artists which set me in full gear with the experience for the music life on the road.

Placing poems together about different life experiences; which is why my music is so different today. My lyrics are not just words to a song but dialogue to an individual’s life. The music I create paints vivid pictures that tell a story far beyond the music. ChicagoGetter’s flow delivery shows unique rhyme patterns . My flow is slow but fastly intertwined with rapid pace rhymes without a lot of punch lines, but straight forwardness that puts me in a category all by myself.. Leadership is shown in my flow which makes me a standout from other artists today. I am A trendsetter which will give me longevity in the music game.

ChicaGoGetter is on his way to underground legend status. I have done over 300 shows throughout the country and have a gold plaque for ring tone sales of a half a million downloads from 2008’s "Boss of all Bosses" mix tape with Crushin'em Records. Gogetter has also co- hosted an internet radio show with Flench.com in 2008. ChicaGoGetter was Nominated and won the best Chicago Eastside Artist Award in the 920 HipHop Music Awards in 2011 . ChicaGoGetter was also Nominated Peoples Choice at the Midwest Rappers Ball in 2011 .. I was nominated and Awarded winner of the Chicago Underground Video Music Awards for my hit single I GOT EM' GOING (ALL MAN) in 2012 from his 2010 Release of (The Life Of A Gogetter) available on Amazon Napster as well as I tunes. Some of my inspirations are Slick Rick, James Brown, Tupac , Mystikal ,Scarface, Twista, Pycho Drama, and Crucial Conflict. My motivation came from other rappers who are trash, and do not show lyrics or skills; this is the reason why ChicagoGetter’s on a mission to prove my greatness today.
