KRK Rokit 8 Review
Just recently, the Rokit 8s won DJ/Studio Monitor of the Year at the end of 2012. What makes them so good in the lab?

If you enjoy bass, you will love a pair of these. They make 808s bounce hard and improve the lows in your mix. The mediums and highs are exceptional as well. There is a “high frequency level control” knob feature that lets you control the highs. This comes in useful when adjusting for acoustics in your room. It’s a good price for the size you get, starting at $229/monitor. Smaller price, louder banger. Nice.
The bass is great but sometimes you don’t want all the attention down low. Some think the bass overcompensates what’s up top depending on the type of music you make or your acoustics. Over time you’ll get used to them but they’ll definitely spoil your ears.
If a monitor does end up blowing out there is a three year manufacturer’s warranty, but it’s not pretty going through KRK. A power outage blew out my right tweeter. I put mine in the shop and didn’t get it back from them until 2 months later. In the end it was all good, but the whole process dragged. Looking back I would have dished out the extra $50 for an in-store warranty because they give you a new one on the spot. Overall, this is a great pair for most people, especially if you work with hip hop.

Then you ahead of the game! Lol
